Selepas Wazir Ahmed Pasya tokoh yang mengganti beliau adalah Kara Mustafa Pasya. Beliau merupakan tokoh yang agresif dalam usaha meluas empayar Ottoman ke wilayah Eropah. Sebagaimana wazir Ahmed Pasya, Kara Mustafa Pasya juga berkhidmat semasa period Mehmed IV (r.1648-87).

Wazir Ahmed Pasya merupakan tokoh yang paling banyak menyumbang kepada kemajuan Ottoman. Ahmed Pasya ialah wazir besar pada 1661-1676 ketika period Sultan Mehmed IV (r.1648-87). Ada sebuah tesis bertajuk “A virtuous grand vizier: Politics and patronage in the Ottoman Empire during the grand vizierate of Fazil Ahmed Pasya 1661-1676”.
